CACHE Level 3 Award in Preparing to Work in Home Based Childcare

This qualification prepares you to set up a home based childcare setting. It is also suitable for those who wish to be employed in home based childcare settings as childminding assistants or other home childcarers (e.g. nannies, au pairs).
The course is delivered online and covers the following:
- Setting up a home-based childcare service
- Working with parents
- Safeguarding children
- Supporting positive behaviour
- Play and activities to support equality and inclusion
- Developing routines
- Establish a safe and healthy environment
You will need to produce a range of evidence including:
- Information about childcare regulations
- Policies and procedures
- Information to show your understanding of equality and diversity
- Information to show your understanding of safeguarding
- How to encourage positive behaviour
- How parents and carers can work in partnership
- Information to show your understanding on Data Protection and confidentiality
The final assessment is a multiple choice question paper.
