This course is right for you if you are working or interested in working in after school clubs, holiday clubs, soft play areas etc. where you are working with children and young people aged between 4 to 16 in play environments.
The qualification provides an understanding of playwork values and the importance of play and playwork in children and young people’s lives.
The Diploma is made up of twelve mandatory units and a range of optional units, covering the knowledge and skills needed when working in a playwork setting, there will be written assignments and observations of practice.
This course is available as a Playwork Apprenticeship for all ages!
The Apprenticeship framework consists of CACHE level 2 Diploma in Playwork; Employment Rights and Responsibilities unit; Functional skills at level 1 in Maths and English. You will need to be employed for a minimum of 16 hours a week.
If you have GCSE’s in Maths or English they may exempt you from all or part of the functional skills.
This course can be privately funded or we also have alternative funding available for those aged 19+ where you could get your course full or part funded, get in touch for full criteria!
