The Serious Case Reviews into abuse in childcare settings & schools identifies just how crucial it is for all staff, employed & volunteering, teaching & non-teaching, to have a clear understanding of what abuse is and of their individual responsibility to use the settings/schools procedures for reporting any concerns. 

The course costs £35 per person and covers:

• Various types of abuse
• How to recognise abuse in children
• Duty of Care & what this means
• Whistle blowing
• Groups & agencies involved in the protection of children
• Record keeping

On completion of the safeguarding level 1 awareness course, you will understand: 

• Types of abuse
• Signs, symptoms & behaviours associated with abuse
• What to do if a child discloses that they are being/have been abused.
• Recording & Reporting

The course will be 10am to 12.30pm when delivered at Eden Training.

Certificate of attendance detailing course content will be issued upon completion.

This course can be delivered to groups of 12 people at your workplace for a SPECIAL OFFER price of £360.

*5% discount for 4 or more people from the same workplace booking on to the same course*

Specific content for individual schools/settings can be included in the course if required and flexible times can be arranged if at the workplace (2.5 hours).
